775. That’s how many calories are in the average child’s lunchbox, according to research from nutritional app, ShopWell. Shocked? Us, too! Their research says those nearly 800 calories are made up of 32 grams of fat, 47 grams of sugar and 112 grams of carbohydrates. Yikes!

In 1980, just 7% of American children were considered to be obese. These days, that percentage has grown to be nearly 18%, according to the CDC. While many parents are struggling to understand why their kids are overweight and looking for solutions, revamping their lunches might be a great place to start.  (Crunched for time?
